REVIEWS... Be a Reviewer of plays, local productions or books... e-mail us for details.Reviews RUN FOR YOUR WIFE at Swindon's Wyvern Theatre 9th-15th September As the play develops, your belly will start to ache more! Not a second of time or space on stage is wasted during this fast-paced, truly professional play starring a fab cast including Melvyn Hayes (It Aint Alf Hot Mum), Mark Wingett (The Bill), Paul Henry (Benny in the original TV series Crossroads), Barry Howard (Hi De Hi) and David Callister (The Bill, The Chief - and more)
Innuendos and blatent non-political correctness course through the production as the double-life of a taxi driver rapidly unfolds. Melvyn Hayes is brilliant as the neighbour unwittingly dragged into the crazy exploits of his friend, a bigamist. Policemen in pink, confused wives, mayhem with magnificent timing... the audience loved it... and clearly so did the cast!
DON'T MISS IT at a theatre near you as the play celebrates the 25th anniversary of its first tour by visiting theatres across the country up until Saturday 29th November in Lincoln..

Swindon Youth Festival - 13th Sept at the Old Town Bowl
This was a fantastic event for the young people of Swindon. 10 young Dorcan Performing Arts Group members turned up to sing and dance their hearts out! The whole concept of performing on a stage live in front of an audience of hundreds was a little terrifying, they said they could not hear themselves on stage, but the audience sang along to Bohemian and went mad to Happy Days, they loved it.
Tegan Crate and Elliot Watling both sang the best we have seen then do their solo's!
Vicky Bray, Jamie Kerger and Lauren Timlin compered the entire event!. Also introduced to the Mayor. Every time Jamie went on stage the crowd roared they loved him!
Youth Services representative, Steve, has asked if DPAG would return, so we are registered for the 2009 event! DPAG will be much more involved in planning and performing!. Thriller was performed in the Dance Zone again extremely well received. The bands were great even a band of seven.eight year olds, they were amazing out shone some of the older bands! and, of course the youngster loved all the freebies from the exhibiting organisations!
We have made many contacts, and DPAG should be having a DJ workshop and Street dancing in the future from them!! DPAG made a impression and the members grew a foot taller when they left, they deserved to be proud, they were well behaved and performed excellently.
Again DPAG putting Dorcan 'on the map' for Swindon!
